Job Description

Our client, a fast growing D2C e-commerce company in the food and beverage space is looking for a Product & Regulatory Specialist to join their growing team. Already established with Amazon, Target, Walmart, Whole Foods and more, our client is entering a period of rapid growth and looking to expand their operational and product team to help reach the next stage of growth. As a specialist in products and regulatory compliance, this person will play a critical role in ensuring that our client's products meet all relevant regulations and standards while contributing to the overall success of their business. The Products & Regulatory Specialist will contribute to our commitment to providing safe, compliant, and high-quality products to our customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Crisis Management: Assist in handling product-related crises or recalls, coordinating efforts to address safety concerns and regulatory issues promptly.
  • Internal Training: Provide training and guidance to internal teams, including product development, marketing, and customer service, on product compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Product Documentation: Manage and organize product documentation, including specifications, testing reports, and certificates, to support compliance efforts.
  • Regulatory Research: Stay informed about evolving regulations and standards in the industry to proactively identify potential compliance issues and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with various departments, such as legal, marketing, and operations, to ensure a holistic approach to product compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to gather necessary information and documentation related to product compliance and safety.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and maintain product quality standards, conducting periodic reviews and audits.
  • Labeling and Packaging: Review and approve product labeling, packaging materials, and marketing materials to ensure they adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Product Compliance: Ensure that all products offered on our ecommerce platform comply with relevant local, national, and international regulations, standards, and certifications.


Requirements:


  • Enthusiasm for staying up to date with changing regulations and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with product documentation and labeling requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the industry, with a strong focus on product safety and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Regulatory Affairs, Product Management, or a related discipline.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or a similar role is a plus.
