Consolidating and developing effective financing and co-financing mechanisms to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage of skills development opportunities.
Leveraging technology to enhance equity and access to skills development while improving the efficiency of skills development systems.
Actively promoting the generation and utilization of evidence to inform decision-making regarding skills development.
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented Education Consultant who will play a vital role in supporting the development of an inventory of 21st-century skills measurement instruments.
You will be a part of the EDU team within the esteemed Social Sector department. This team works tirelessly to support the education systems of Latin American and Caribbean countries, striving to make them successful in promoting effective teaching and learning for all children and youth. Additionally, our private sector window actively finances projects aimed at expanding educational opportunities for low-income students.
Your main focus will be on developing the inventory of 21st-century skills measurement instruments for publication on our remarkable CLIC (Connect without Limits: Invent Yourself, and Get Certified) online platform. CLIC serves as a toolkit that assesses and certifies transversal 21st-century skills, empowering users to showcase a digital portfolio of skills effectively. Your responsibilities will involve conducting thorough research on the eleven 21st-century skills defined by the and drafting an inventory of measurement instruments for each skill. The eleven skills identified by the are mindfulness, empathy and compassion, self-efficacy/self-determination, problem-solving, critical thinking, goal orientation and goal completion, resilience/stress resistance, self-awareness, purposefulness, self-regulation/self-control/emotion regulation, and digital skills.
Key Responsibilities And Deliverables
Support the development of an inventory of eleven 21st-century skills measurement instruments.
Review internal knowledge products on the aforementioned eleven skills and existing systemic reviews and/or academic literature.
Conduct comprehensive research on available measurement instruments for the eleven skills to be published on the CLIC platform.
Develop an inventory containing relevant data, including actual examples (copies) of measurement instruments, to serve as a decision-making tool for future reference.
Provide recommendations on the most suitable instrument for each skill, including rankings among instruments.
Create a document identifying any restrictions to the publication of third-party content on the CLIC platform, as well as sublicensing such content to users.
Review and finalize existing two-pagers for each of the eleven 21st-century skills.
Payment Timeline
Deliverable Percentage:
#1 Submission of Work plan - 10%
#2 Submission of an inventory, recommendations, and rankings of measurement instruments, and finalizing two-pagers for the first set of three skills - 25%
#3 Submission of an inventory, recommendations, and rankings of measurement instruments, and finalizing two-pagers for the second set of four skills - 30%
#4 Submission of an inventory, recommendations, and rankings of measurement instruments, and finalizing two-pagers for the remaining four skills - 35%
Qualifications And Requirements
Education: Master's degree or equivalent in Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Public Health, or similar. Candidates currently enrolled in a doctoral program or holding a doctoral degree will be preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Education, particularly in the analysis of psychometrics and educational psychology.
Languages: Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of Spanish is preferable.
