Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Education/Inclusion Manager and Child Care Director to consistently assess classroom quality and the utilization of best practices through classroom observations, data analysis, and progress monitoring of children's school readiness skills.
Compile and interpret program data to identify focus areas for coaching and professional development, working closely with the Education/Inclusion Manager.
Foster effective communication with education and management staff to support coaching efforts and facilitate a cohesive learning environment.
Assess the educational staff in order to identify strengths and areas for support, tailoring coaching plans to meet individual needs and promote growth.
Develop and implement personalized coaching plans for teachers, utilizing various strategies such as observation, modeling, co-teaching, and co-planning to drive effective teaching practices.
Provide constructive feedback and timely follow-up to support the improvement of teaching practices and the achievement of coaching plan goals.
Assist teachers in setting goals and reflect on their progress, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Measure the effectiveness of coaching efforts by collecting and analyzing relevant data, including classroom quality, staff progress, and children's school readiness skills.
Support the delivery of in-service training and other professional development activities in alignment with program standards.
Collaborate with the Administration to ensure staff receives ongoing support and feedback for continuous improvement.
Participate in agency committees and initiatives as requested by the supervisor.
Maintain regular communication with the Education/Inclusion Manager and provide necessary reports and documentation.

Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with 30 hours of child development courses.
Illinois Gateways (Level 5) Early Childhood Credential or ability to obtain.
3-4 years of experience as an early childhood teacher, trainer, or coach.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively transfer information.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills to support adult learning and professional development.
Knowledge and experience in implementing high-quality teaching practices.
Ability to motivate and guide staff in their professional growth.
Design and deliver training and technical assistance to support the implementation of best practices.
Proficiency in collecting and analyzing data to make informed recommendations.
Strong interpersonal skills to establish effective relationships with staff and solve problems independently.
Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience working with diverse populations, Head Start experience, and bilingual (Spanish-English) proficiency preferred.
Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Illinois Early Learning Standards, and developmentally appropriate practices for infants.
Familiarity with adult learning principles and leadership competencies.
Must have reliable transportation as this position requires travel to various sites.
