The role


You will edit, proof-read, and style written documents and slides in line with SOPs, liaise with studio and external suppliers to ensure items meet client specification and deadlines and provide general administrative support to the writing team.


The ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a high-performing team, and have excellent mentoring and communication skills, strong attention to detail and experience using some/all of the following software: Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and Endnote.


Requirements


  • Suggest changes to improve the clarity and flow of content
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Review and edit content, including manuscripts, reports, abstracts, presentations, posters, digital content and other medical communication deliverables
  • Ensure consistency is maintained both within and between projects according to style guides
  • Develop and maintain style guides
  • Adhere to appropriate style and tone
  • Meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure
  • Healthcare agency experience (highly desirable)
  • Advanced use of Word for editing purposes, e.g. reviewing tools (templates, tracked changes)
  • Clear understanding of issues relating to reproducing/adapting published material and data
  • Check for grammatical, spelling, and punctuation errors, and make necessary changes
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Endnote as required.
  • Proof-reading of content
  • General administrative support - journal submissions, abstract portal populations, copyright requests, etc.
  • 3+ years editing experience
  • Work closely with other team members, including writers, designers, and client services personnel
  • Able to prepare/edit complex slides and figures in PowerPoint
  • Review art worked graphs and figures for accuracy and adherence to appropriate style
