Job Description

The E-commerce Manager is responsible for overseeing the enhancement and optimization of the Ecommerce experience to drive revenue.This includes monitoring all of Baked by Melissa website products, and enhancement of customer journeys. This role works to optimize the product assortment and merchandising efforts on bakedbymelissa.com to raise conversion and increase sales.


Exempt- Salary Range $80,000-$90,000

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the planning and requesting of website assets to meet campaigns and product launch deadlines.
  • Act as an expert and stay current on E commerce industry trends, online competitors, and best practices for website merchandising and create a report cadence to communicate key information and enhancement proposals.
  • Research, construct, and track data-backed promotion proposals to maximize revenue based on the time of year and occasion, and work with leadership, finance, and operations on finalization to ensure they’re feasible and revenue-maximizing.
  • Establish an audit framework, and conduct regular audits across all DTC and B2B gifting occasions to understand, evaluate, optimize, and report on the customer journey on bakedbymelissa.com
  • Conduct daily and weekly analysis on product sales, product page, and category conversion, homepage engagement, YOY promotional SKU sales, and other merchandising areas and supply leadership with regular updates and optimization recommendations.
  • Provide recommendations to leadership, the E-commerce team, and other departments on how to improve and better inform our merchandising executions, based on customer and competitor insights and actual data. Provide recommendations to consistently improve conversion and sales.
  • Conduct post-product and feature launch QA to ensure all products are set up correctly.
  • Accountable for the end-to-end setup of all website products, homepage content updates, and promo code logic setup.
  • Establish website product pages, category revenue strateg ies, conversion goals, and ensure products are set up, sorted, and displayed to meet those goals.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and web applications; programming knowledge a plus.
  • Experience working with a similar E-commerce platform and web technology; Magento experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both engineers and non-technical team members.
  • Experience in software testing preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years experience in product management.
