eCommerce Platform Manager
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning and budgeting for future expansion projects as it relates to business growth, efficiencies, and routine upgrades. Providing transparency and recommendations on project trade-offs, understanding, and coordinating dependencies across multiple teams with competing priorities.
  • Technology liaison for eCommerce projects and decisions pertaining to key eCommerce platforms and technical toolsets (Optimizely B2B Cloud, Moblico, TradeCentric).
  • Configure system in alignment with digital strategy - understands audience segmentation and restriction use cases to ensure we have the requisite data pipelines and data segmentations to evolves with the business needs.
  • Supervises the curation, development and preparation of technical documentation (e.g., runbooks, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the McNaughton-McKay infrastructure teams to lead new technical integrations between eCommerce and digital technology tools and the McNaughton-McKay backend, and evolve integrations as required.
  • Provides technical expertise in establishing specific standards, patterns, and procedures.
  • Technical and functional lead for eCommerce implementations across the entire McNaughton-McKay organization and expansions.
  • Translation of eCommerce strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by internal and 3rd party engineering teams.
  • Configure and deploy catalog punchout (OCI and cXML) integrated to the eCommerce websites, leveraging various third-party platforms based on customer needs (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, etc.)
  • Monitor, in conjunction with applicable service providers, all critical production processes and technologies that have high visibility and impact on business operations. Provides support during outages.
  • Management and categorization of backlog items based on business needs, maintaining acceptance criteria and defined business value, and translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Provides tier 2 troubleshooting for all eCommerce applications, this may involve reviewing system logs and API trace information with submissions of tickets and change requests to appropriate eCommerce software vendors as needed
  • Contributes to, maintains, and communicates the ecommerce product strategy that identifies and fills product gaps, generates new ideas that grow market share, improves customer experience and drives growth.
  • Collaborates with eCommerce, sales/marketing, project management, and 3rd party development teams to reconcile user needs and requirements within given engineering constraints.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally, lead through influence, marshal resources and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills focused on a broad range of stakeholders from executive leadership to 3rd party developers and marketers.
  • Experience performing impact analysis for potential changes in scope and ability to administer change management processes within a specified framework, including regularly reviewing issue management and change control logs to understand status and identify potential risk situations
  • Experience authoring and managing product requirements and release deliverables
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Able to properly prioritize requests according to urgency, priority and budget.
  • Ability to learn and adapt new technology concepts very quickly
  • Strong understanding of web standards, usability, site design, and B2B omnichannel eCommerce, portals, punchouts, marketplaces and APIs preferred
  • Strong logical, analytical and troubleshooting skills
