Early Childhood Program Engagement Assistant

This position provides support and resources for early childhood providers (public schools/VPI, Head Start, childcare centers, Family Day Homes, preschool programs, etc.) and other community partners participating in the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Initiative, Virginia Quality Birth to 5 (VQB5).

• Providing resources and support to the VQB5 within a specified geographic area and/or group of Providing technical assistance to programs participating in the VQB5 and Link B5 Data Collection Portal (helping them navigate the system and to receive the support they need to successfully complete objectives outlined in the grant).
• Working with Minus 9 to 5 staff and community partners in the development, implementation, evaluation, and timely reporting of the results of all required activities of the VQB5 program with key activities including building relationships; increasing access to high quality early learning environments; strengthening quality of programming; and engaging families in the process.

• Assist with the collection of data on participating ECE programs
• Support programs and educators with resources and pathways to scholarships and incentives
• Assist with tracking and monitoring program engagement and movement through required activities
• Assist with preparing monthly and quarterly reports as related to VQB5 activities
• Review participating programs’ progress and actively reach out to provide assistance
• Supporting the implementation of VQB5
• Assist ECE programs in compiling, completing, and submitting any documentation required for participation and moving through required VQB5 activities

• Assist with Identifying strengths and gaps in services, coordination, and resources within providers and the community
• Implementing activities related to VQB5 program
• Tracks progress in state developed Link B5 system
• Utilizes platforms such as, but not limited to LinkB5, ZOHO Connect, and MyTeachstone for accurate and timely data entry, collection, and follow-up in a culturally competent manner
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Supports all programs participating in activities designed to keep parents informed
• Helps develop messaging that is culturally relevant and promotes the engagement of providers to maintain engagement in VQB5 related activities
• Help promote the importance of ongoing engagement and participation
