Early Childhood - Assistant Director

Summary

Niko?s Playworld Childcare Center is looking for an Assistant Director who will work with the Director in ensuring that the center provides quality education and care to all children. You will play a vital role in building relationships with families and the surrounding community. You will develop strong partnerships with parents, ensuring that they are informed about their child's progress and involved in their child's learning journey. You will also work to build relationships with community organizations and other stakeholders to promote the center's programs and services.

Ultimately, as an Assistant Director, you will be a full partner in the leadership of the center, working alongside the Director to create a positive and inclusive environment where children can learn and grow.

Duties

• Assume duties of Center Director and Teachers as needed during their absence.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure adherence to quality standards in accordance with Center guidelines and state and local requirements; implement improvements where needed.
• Maintain communication with families and community through appropriate outreach activities.
• Follow all center policies and state regulations.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must clear full background check.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• 3 - 5 years of direct professional experience in an early childhood setting.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must pass health screening.
• A strong understanding of child development.
• High energy.
