Job Description


Davis Behavioral Health is seeking Dual Diagnosis Therapists (LCSW/CMHC/MFT) to work in the Davis County Receiving Center located in Layton, Utah. There are full-time and part-time positions available.


Program Description


The Davis County Receiving Center is a 23-72 hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration that specializes in short-term crisis resolution. This facility provides observation, screening and social detoxification for police drop-offs, emergency department transfers and walk-in crisis services. The primary purpose of the Receiving Center is to provide a short length of stay and a focus on stabilizing the crisis and returning a person to community supports.


The successful candidates will provide risk assessments, evaluations, safety plans, treatment plans and recommendations for treatment. The successful candidate will be trained and able to complete ASAM dimension criteria as part of the evaluation process?


The RC therapist will have experience working in a crisis setting, be able to complete risk assessments, safety plans and evaluations within a brief period of time and make clinical recommendations for continued care. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of completing and executing a pink sheet.


The successful candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary treatment team to include psychiatrists, nurses, recovery support specialists, psych techs and case managers.

Classification/Compensation


This position is classified as full-time, exempt. The salary structure for these specific positions is a hybrid base rate salary plus incentive model.


Base Rate


The Base Rate For Fully Licensed Clinicians Is Calculated With a Starting Annual Rate Of $73,500 Plus Credit For Years Of Full-licensure Experience As Defined Below


  • $73,500.00 to $88,000.00 per year is the approved base rate range
  • 1% per year for every three years of full licensure between 10 and beyond
  • $3,000 Spanish-language incentive annual stipend (paid bi-weekly) available. Must pass a Spanish assessment.
  • 1% per year for each year of full licensure between 0 and 10 years


Differential


All clinicians at DBH whose regularly schedule shift is on a swing shift, graveyard shift, or weekend are eligible for a $5.00 per hour differential that is paid in the form of a bi-weekly stipend of $400.00 for full-time clinicians. The total annual differential stipends equate to $10,400.00 per year.

Part-time Opportunities


DBH is seeking candidates to create a pool of clinicians to jointly cover the following shifts:


  • Weekend Shifts
  • Swing Shifts


The successful candidates may choose to work swing shift, weekends, or both. Applicants interested in the weekend shifts have the option to work in a part-time, on-site role or provide the required coverage in an on-call role where they must respond to the unit within 30 minutes.


Position Descriptions


Swing Shift


Schedule/Shifts


The swing shift at the Receiving Center is 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. The start time and end times for the successful candidates may be flexible in an effort to best allow this position to work as a moonlighting opportunity for clinicians looking to compliment other professional positions. The amount of the shift payment will be prorate if the successful candidate's shift is less than 8 hours.


To ensure desired clinical coverage, it is preferred if the part-time swing shift therapist work until 11:00 pm on the days they are scheduled. The successful part-time candidates must work less than 30 hours per week.


Classification/Compensation


This position is classified as full-time, exempt. The salary structure for these specific positions is a hybrid base rate salary plus incentive model.


Base Rate


The part-time swing shift clinician will be compensated on a per-shift basis that is calculated is calculated using a starting hourly rate of $33.65 per hour plus credit for years of full-licensure experience.


  • $322 to $377 per 8-hour shift is the approved base rate range based on years of full-licensure experience.


Differential


All clinicians at DBH whose regularly schedule shift is on a swing shift, graveyard shift, or weekend are eligible for a $5.00 per hour differential, which is built in to the shift compensation above.


Under-licensed Clinicians (CSW/ACMHC/AMFT)


The shift compensation for under-licensed clinicians is $282 per 8-hour shift.

Part-time


If the successful candidate is hired as a regular, part-time employee, they will be expected to be at the Receiving Center for the entire 8-hour or 12-hour shift.


On-Call


If the successful candidate is hired in an on-call capacity, it is expected that they are available to respond to calls through the entire assigned shift. When they are called in, it is required that they arrive at the Receiving Center within 30 minutes.


Classification/Compensation


This position is classified as part-time, non-exempt.


Compensation for this position will depend on the manner in which the successful candidate is hired (part-time versus on-call).


Compensation


Part-time


The part-time swing shift clinician will be compensated on a per-shift basis that is calculated is calculated using a starting hourly rate of $35.34 per hour plus credit for years of full-licensure experience and approved differential.


  • $484 to $565 per 12-hour weekend 9am to 9pm shift based rate range based on years of full-licensure experience.
  • $322 to $377 per 8-hour graveyard shift is the approved based rate range based on years of full-licensure experience.


Weekend Shift Differential Stipend


The successful candidate will also receive a $5.00 per hour weekend clinician stipend for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.


Under-licensed Clinicians (CSW/ACMHC/AMFT)


The shift compensation for under-licensed clinicians is $282 per 8-hour shift and $423 per 12-hour shift


On-Call


If The Successful Candidate Is Hired In An On-call Manner, They Will Be Compensated Based On The Current Crisis, On-call Earnings Table Outlined Below

Required Experience


Minimum Qualifications


Master of Social Work degree from an accredited university. Preference given to candidates licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Utah. This position may also be filled with a Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), Marriage & Family Therapist (MFT) or under-filling with a Certified Social Worker (CSW) or Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACMHC) who is nearing completion of full clinical licensure.


The selected candidate must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore, making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample. Candidates who are offered employment are required to report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested to do so by the DBH Human Resources Department.


Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants and must comply with the Federal drug laws, including no use of medical marijuana.
