- Conduct comprehensive mental health and substance abuse evaluations, including assessing for co-occurring disorders, and diagnosis as appropriate.
- Provide consultation on substance use issues to therapists as needed.
- Must meet agency productivity standard.
- Maintain clinical documentation as required by agency standards.
- Participate in monthly staffing with the juvenile probation department.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based interventions to decrease symptoms and improve functioning.
- Develop individualized treatment plans consisting of mutually agreed upon goals and objectives and update as needed.
- Complete and submit weekly progress report to the juvenile probation department.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings and regularly scheduled supervision.
- Coordinate with other staff and community agencies as needed to provide effective care.
- $70,000.00 to $85,061.09 per year is the approved base rate range
- $3,000 Spanish-language incentive annual stipend (paid bi-weekly) available. Must pass a Spanish assessment.
- 1% per year for every three years of full licensure between 10 and beyond
- 1% per year for each year of full licensure between 0 and 10 years
- Utilizing evidence-informed practices to best serve our clients; and
- Being fiscally wise and responsible.
- Adhering to principles of choice, safety, transparency, and collaboration with our clients, staff, and partners;
- Demonstrates the skills necessary to motivate and engage youth and their families.
- Good organizational and practice management skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively.
- Skill in administering and interpreting the SASSI-A2.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff and community agencies (such as DCFS, juvenile courts, etc.).
- Must have skills in working with SED populations, substance use, and with individuals and families undergoing acute episodes of psychiatric distress.
- Flexibility in days and hours available for scheduled work, including evenings.
- Clinical expertise in screening, assessments, diagnosis, and crisis intervention.
- Knowledge of the ASAM criteria for determining level of care and guiding treatment.
- Considerable knowledge of trauma-informed care, including screening, assessing, and treating from a trauma-informed lens.
- Considerable knowledge of the techniques and principles of child and family development and family systems theory.
