DSHS DDA Attendant Counselor 1

We have immediate career opportunities on all three shifts for Direct Care Providers at Lakeland Village Residential Habilitation Center. In this role, you’ll coach, teach, and mentor adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a homelike environment alongside peers who are driven by these same goals and focused on our mission to Transform Lives.

Some of what you will do:
  • Perform personal care for adults, including hygiene, grooming, bathing and toileting
  • Provide specialized direct care, support, and training
  • Provide intervention to residents with complex support and service needs
  • Transport residents to appointments and activities on and off campus
  • Actively engage residents in all teaching opportunities to promote their maximum independence
  • Document and report on care provided and any changes

Who should apply?
  • An existing Washington State Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is a plus but not required
  • Professionals with a High School Diploma/GED OR One year of experience working with people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
