Job Description

Description:Bonus Pay:

  • Eligible for a company-wide bonus that is dependent on the company meeting sales goals. Equivalent to up to 3 weeks of additional pay.

Accountabilities:

  • Transfer load is to leave the Lake Mary location Monday, Wednesday and Friday around midnight, swap trailers in Sarasota and return to Lake Mary around 6:00am
  • Achieves daily requirements without accidents, citations or damage to personal property
  • Assist in the training and routing of new delivery associates
  • Position may occasionally need to run a flatbed trailer to complete pickups and deliveries
  • Good attendance, punctual and flexible daily work hours
  • Occasionally, the driver will have additional stops (pickup and/or deliveries) to complete along the route or after the route is complete
  • The driver is responsible for all loads on their truck to be properly secured
  • Assist in various warehouse duties, such as pulling, staging, loading, un-loading, put away, and general warehouse and office maintenance
  • Selects routes to travel in an efficient manner to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize transit time
  • Proper handling of paperwork, including drivers logs, delivery certificates, obtaining customers signatures and any associated monetary collections
  • Keep vehicle clean and professional in appearance
  • Demonstrates teamwork and cooperation with other departments and employees
  • Perform daily operational checks of the vehicle, reporting deficiencies immediately
  • Driver must maintain and complete daily ELD demands and operate within the DOT rules and regulations.
  • Transfer load is to leave the Lake Mary location Tuesday and Thursday around 4:30am, live unload and load in Jacksonville around 7:00am, and return to Lake Mary
  • The driver will assist with loading/unloading trailer, including securely strapping cargo for transport

Requirements:Qualifications:

  • Drivers must have excellent customer relations skills
  • Must be able to safely operate various types of outdoor power equipment
  • Forklift training and certification is helpful
  • Must possess a Class A Florida drivers’ license with a clean driving record

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma a minimum
  • Previous tractor trailer experience or graduation from an accredited driving school
  • Safety Training courses, schools and seminars a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
