LOCATION:

This position will be based at one of our PRD locations, including Waukesha, WI, Dacono, CO, Olean, NY, Greenwood, SC, Franksville, WI, or South Milwaukee WI.

This division is headquartered in Waukesha, WI. With five Eaton facilities and more than 1500 employees located in Wisconsin, Eaton’s local footprint enables our employees with state-of-the-art laboratories and access to manufacturing.


The expected annual salary range for this role is $131249.97 - $192499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The PRD Materials Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, directing, and coordinating the supply chain function continuous improvement strategy, which includes deployment, training and mentoring PRD facilities on the Eaton Lean System, Operations Assessment (OpA) and Continuous Improvement (CIF) integration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work closely with Division Continuous Improvement team to develop a roadmap for functional maturity in OpA & EBS with a focus on Lead On-time delivery, Inventory Optimization and Materials/SAP Excellence projects
  • Benchmark and shares best practices with other Eaton divisions
  • Lead and support Physical Inventory and Cycle Count processes to drive material accuracy.
  • Responsible for Days on Hand target and materials driven On Time Performance improvement actions, working with plants to identify and execute on improvement projects.
  • Develop training, standard work and work instructions for various supply chain roles, ensuring development of SAP expertise in new and existing SCM employees.
  • Recommend, develop, and manage plans to improve materials management, logistics and procurement processes and results utilizing Eaton Business System (EBS).
  • Identify and Implement goals and initiatives policies, procedures, and requirements change across the division
  • Work with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Finance and Operations to ensure division end-to-end operational goals are met/exceeded.
  • Lead Supply Chain Business Process Improvement activities (Rapid Improvement Events, Value Stream Mapping, 5S+, Boot Camps etc.). Monitor and track performance improvement related to activities and implements process checks to ensure sustained performance.
  • Lead Supply Chain Digitization efforts by developing/ identifying automation opportunities for reports, processes and tools.

Qualifications:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of two years managing people or project team
  • Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now and in the future
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, or engineering environment, including time spent in Supply Chain

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Lean Six Sigma, CPIM/ APICS, and/or Continuous Improvement Certifications
  • Experience with SAP
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in Supply Chain role

Skills:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, Project)
  • Process focused with continuous improvement mindset
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management, including full comprehension of the Prolaunch Process
