We are moving fast and are adding to our outstanding team.DC Burger Inc owns and operates over 37 BURGER KING® restaurants across Virginia.Position PurposeThis position reports to the Regional Vice President in a particular operating Region. The District Manager’s span of control will be a minimum of six restaurants in a geographic area, but it could be as high as eight. Each restaurant has a team of at least four management employees, with the Restaurant General Manager reporting directly to the District Manager. The District Manager supervises a total group of 175 – 200 employees, which includes the management team at each restaurant, as well as all the crew staff. The District Manager (DM) is responsible for enthusiastically leading and motivating the restaurant management team and providing them with the tools, training, and follow-up necessary to achieve maximum performance in each restaurant, to meet the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction and selling efforts. This position is accountable for maximizing positive customer experiences, sales, and profits within assigned restaurants. In addition to following DC Burger Inc’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities are, but are not limited to: Restaurant and Service Support:Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodationAssesses, establishes, and implements appropriate restaurant staffing levels with input from direct reportsWorks with direct reports to develop and implement action plans that will improve operating resultsEnsures adherence to company merchandising plansPlans and conducts regularly scheduled meetings with direct reportsAssures the training, development, and performance of their team’s staff to retain a motivated, professional workforce that achieves their career objectivesRecruits and recommends qualified employees for their team’s staff positionsApproves all time-off requests for direct reportsEstablishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to their team to assure mutual understanding of desired results; resolves internal or external barriers that prohibit successful goal achievementUnderstands the overarching company strategy, as well as communicates and models the core values, of the organization to create a sense of teamwork and membership among employeesCoordinates with direct reports in the recruitment and interviewing of applicantsConfers with direct reports regarding the advancement of restaurant personnel and when considering the discharge or discipline of restaurant personnelSupports direct reports in conducting restaurant meetingsConsults with leadership on the development of their team's strategyAdvises leadership to source external vendors for applicable services when appropriateConsults with the business to effectively design and streamline applicable processes within the organizationKeeps up-to-date on external best practices and relevant changes to their field/area; communicates updates to leadershipEnsures that restaurant personnel comply with the company’s customer satisfaction guidelinesOversees and manages the appropriate resolution of operational customer concerns by store managementEnsures that restaurant management monitors restaurant conditions, equipment, and employee performance to maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and vendorsOversees and manages restaurant compliance with established policies and procedures within the district, as well as applicable federal, state, and local regulationsOversees and manages the achievement of store payroll budgets and total loss results; ensures that results achieved are within district budgetReview and analyzes restaurant personnel’s adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies and procedures to minimize lossesConducts store inventory counts and cash audits according to guidelinesManages their team by driving projects and tasks to completion through effective prioritization, work planning, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaborationIdentifies cost-saving opportunities and potential process improvementsServes as the primary link between their team’s staff and leadership to assure understanding of company goals, objectives, and opportunities for improvementEducational/Experience Requirements3-5 years of experience in a leadership role managing multi-units preferably in a restaurant environmentTwo years of college education or equivalent is a plus. The ability to attract, develop, and retain high performing work teams.Outstanding leadership skills and be able to motivate a diverse team.Possess exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills.Ability to lead and motivate a team of restaurant managers in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to manage a P&L and execute a sales planStrong math skills and Windows-based computer skillsThe ability to work with a high degree of independence and discretion.The ability to work well under pressure and with a heavy workload.
