Disaster Translation Services Summer Vista

This project will be focusing on the identified gaps within counties with relation to immigrant and refugee populations during times of Disaster. VISTA will be working with Volunteer Iowa and partners like Homeland Security and Emergency Management to meet the need head on. Responsibilities will include working with Staff to translate materials, coordinate preparedness interventions in identified communities, and then facilitate said trainings. Time will be spent aiding in these processes with the potential for other Disaster Preparedness training activities and response. This position is eligible for some virtual service, up to 75%. The ideal candidate must live in Iowa.
