Introduction

Position Summary


ABOUT THE ROLE: Oversees and manages all functions related to the recruitment and registration of international freshmen and transfer. Develop strategies and tactics to enhance international recruitment and enrollment. Responsible for the day-to-day functions of the international undergraduate admissions territory managers. Liaises with graduate admissions around international graduate recruitment. Provides training, support and supervision for staff responsible for international recruitment, including international staff roles.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Executive Director of Admissions and Director of Domestic and Graduate on new recruitment strategies in international territories based on trends, numbers and evaluations. Expand on strategies to enhance recruitment in emerging markets
  • Collaborates with Operations department on improvements to current processes, systems and partnerships to international recruitment strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams related to printed marketing materials, emails, text messages, webinars and phone call campaigns as appropriate
  • Evaluate and assess applicants for admission and collaborate with Director of Domestic on wait list process and management
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates all new/continuing Territory Managers with a focus on job duties and expectations
  • In collaboration with the Director of Domestic, plans and facilitates pre-season recruitment workshop for staff
  • Travel to various recruitment events within each territory to evaluate Territory managers: travel organization, presentation, communication with teachers, and event coordination
  • Manage overall meeting of goals as it relates to school visits, SAIC Days, National Portfolio Days and other recruitment events
  • Maintain an understanding of the latest trends in international student recruitment and willingness to stay current regarding cultural competency knowledge and lead with a Diversity Equity and Inclusion lens
  • Support the office in other duties as assigned and liaises with academic and student affairs departments as necessary

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, Master of Fine Arts degree, preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Five or more years of prior admissions/recruitment, advising and/or student affairs experience
  • Knowledge of U.S. Department of Homelan Security student Visa regulations
  • Candidates who have extensive international travel experience, have lived abroad, and/or have experience working closely with international students is highly desired
  • Valid passport and ability to travel is required
