Director Packaging Operations

Maximize the performance of the Packaging Services product by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, organizational revenue and profit growth, operational performance, positive workforce motivation, individual development, succession planning.
- Ensure resource management / equipment planning processes are properly defined, deployed, and measured
- Ensure compliance to all accounting, operational, regulatory, and administrative policies and procedures
- Visit sites according to the site interaction matrix, ensure similar discipline with direct reports

- Ensure the transfer of best practices throughout the area of responsibility
- Ensure necessary documentation and communication with customer

- Participate in the management and planning of regional initiatives
- Implement key manager individual development plans and succession plans Process

- Monitor service levels and customer satisfaction to ensure performance meets customer and DHL’s (balanced scorecard) contractual requirements
- Execute projects and strategic initiatives
- Ensure the transfer of best practices throughout the area of responsibility
- Ensure necessary documentation and communication with customer
- Develop-achieve the annual operating plan and goals for each areas of responsibility
- Deliver profitable organic revenue growth through development of customer solutions
- Deliver profitable organic revenue growth through development of customer solutions

- Achieve agreed budget, revenue, profit (P&L) for the area of responsibility
- Take an active role in managing turnover to the appropriate level (among hourly and management staff including agency labor)
- Motivate site management to establish a safe, positive work culture
- Create/ensure customer/vendor contract requirements are clear, correct, and executable

Required Education and Experience
- 5-10 years of direct packaging operations experience, required
- Experience in Customer Contract Management, preferred
- 3+ years of experience in packaging & displays including packaging design, manufacturing, logistics or merchandising., required
- LEAN/Six Sigma certification, preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline, required
