THE ROLE


OLIPOP is searching for a Director of C-Store/Foodservice to join our team and continue to build and elevate on the storing foundation our business. This cross functional position will focus on everything from day to day management of our largest chain customers to developing regional and smaller customer opportunities.


In this role you will lead, own, strategize and optimize all of our small format partners.

VP of Small Format


COMPENSATION:


$145,000-$155,000 base salary


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible for all aspects of business related to our largest c-store customers and regional foodservice customers.
  • Organizing and managing all promotional calendars and cost effective retailer programming for assigned accounts. Reviewing strategies to increase profitabilities and sales.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Couch up, mentor and advise our regional sales team members on small format customers. Provide leadership and feedback on how best to approach, prepare, present and ultimately close regional chain customers.
  • This position is fully remote. Approximately 35% travel calling on customers, trade shows, events or team off-sites as required.
  • Ensure we are working closely with our marketing team to drive brand awareness & key programs with our retailers on a monthly basis.
  • Approach new sales opportunities with a partnership and profitability first mindset
  • Working closely with our Finance team and our Sales Planning team members to ensure accurate forecasting & demand planning as well as tracking and evaluating trade spend/ROI
  • Responsible for reporting on a weekly basis in regard to your key account priorities, goals, strategy, and initiatives.
  • General understanding of how to appropriately forecast for these channels to maximize sales and mitigate OOS issues.
  • Responsible for leading the charge on all new item innovation presentations to retailers, to ensure we're getting our newest flavors & product lines out to retail as quickly and seamlessly as possible
  • Work with our Business Insights, Marketing and Commercialization teams to create best in class customer sales decks, marketing support programs and store level selling materials.
  • As a senior leader you should provide thought leadership around how best to manage growth. Be proactive, use your experience and tenure to efficiently and effectively see issues ahead of time and overcome them when needed. Be an enthusiastic champion of the brand that is infectious inside and out of the company.
  • Bias for action, strong sense of immediacy, and drive to achieve objectives.
  • Meet or exceed case/Dollar sales goals within budget.
  • Working with the OLIPOP field teams, broker partners, and distributors to implement approved sales and marketing strategies to optimize sales at store level.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Competence in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred.
  • Deeply passionate about OLIPOP, and inspired by what we represent. Has the desire and hunger to make an impact.
  • 10-15 years of experience with national account customers. Demonstrated existing relationships at the buyer level and higher required.
  • Clean driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end. Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Obsession for understanding customer behavior. Lives, breathes and dreams about how to better reach & understand our consumers.
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early stage company. Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.
