DIRECTOR OF SALES AND MARKETING


Join our team as Director of Sales and Marketing and become one of the authors of our story. As part of the Auberge family, you will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing team to be outstanding demand creators for the breathtaking Mauna Lani Resort. This role will provide leadership and guidance while supporting the team in achieving departmental goals and objectives. He or she will work closely with marketing intermediaries to maximize return on investment, make recommendations on the pricing strategy to be compatible with the marketing objectives, and support the revenue management team to ensure that pricing structure is supportive of the inventory management objectives and that group sales efforts are targeting correct segments.


Key Responsibilities


  • Takes an active leadership role in negotiations with primary focus being annual wholesale contracts (domestic and international), consortia leisure contracts to drive off-peak business and specific group programs.
  • Be an ambassador and role model for our mission of delivering best-loved one-of-a-kind luxury hospitality, and our ENRICH core values.
  • Manages marketing information systems to ensure that the system is gathering and sorting useful information. Responsible for evaluating information such as guest and group history statistics to build valid marketing assumptions and promote sound marketing decision making.
  • Increase sales and revenue in for the resort as well as ancillary areas such as golf and spa.
  • Develops and maintains sales and market strategy and annual marketing and revenue plan that is a feasible fit between the revenue objectives, skills and resources and changing market opportunities.


Required Qualifications


  • Exceptional leadership skills and experience directly managing a majority remote team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Deep industry connections within the luxury hospitality trade partners
  • Collaborative by nature and with strong influencing skills.
  • Previous managerial experience in marketing, hotel leisure, wholesaler, wedding and group sales.
  • Must have the capacity to travel as needed to trade shows and client events.
  • A four-year college degree in hotel administration with heavy emphasis in marketing is ideal.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong knowledge of Hawaiian culture.
  • Previous leadership experience in sales and marketing within the luxury resort destinations market.
