JOB DESCRIPTION: Director of Operations – Illinois

Position Summary:

The Director of Operations will provide leadership and manage the day-to-day operations of two cannabis manufacturing facilities. This position requires a team player who loves a good challenge, has a high level of integrity and works diligently to exceed expectations. The Director of Operations will lead the way in advancing the company’s core values.

You will establish and document SOP’s and ensure the operation team is in compliance with all regulations and SOP’s relating to safety, security, and health. You will oversee safety, administration, supply chain, quality, production, maintenance, and the logistics of the facility.

Major duties/responsibilities:

• Help formulate strategic and operational objectives.
• Provide leadership and oversight for the entire facility.
• Perform quality controls, monitor production KPIs and prepare production reports as required by management.
• Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
• Ensure all legal and regulatory procedures are followed and stay up to date with industry related compliance requirements.
• Build alliances and partnerships with other organizations.
• Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures including SOP’s to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency.
• Work with the finance team on budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.
• Support worker communication with the leadership team.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively communicate and build consensus and relationships among managers, partners and employees.
• Bachelor’s degree in operations management and at least 8+ years of experience managing a production manufacturing operation with at least 2+ of these years having direct people management responsibilities.
• Cannabis experience not required.
• Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management
