Role: Operations Director


Roswell Community Masjid is a masjid built to function as a center for community development, to facilitate access to authentic Islamic knowledge in a family-friendly environment while empowering the youth to positively impact society. We pride ourselves on delivering high quality programming to a dedicated community. In order to continue serving our community and growing our community in the process, we are looking for a talented operations director to lead the way. The Operations Director is a unique role built to oversee the day to day operations of the organization under the supervision of the Executive Director. This position is a full time, paid position working in person at the Roswell Community Masjid campus.



Responsibilities:


Staff Management

  • Management of operations team includes:
  • Establish protocols for necessary operations
  • Supervising work done by each team member
  • Operations Team currently defined as:
  • Build and manage an operations team to execute day to day operations
  • Building and reviewing job descriptions with each team member
  • Track weekly hours for paid staff
  • Office Manager
  • Volunteers Lead & Volunteers

  • Operations

    • Managing procurement for the organization and defining procurement procedures for key personnel
    • Set guidelines for all facility related operational procedures
    • (Facility usage, maintenance etc)
    • Oversee the successful implementation of all policies and procedures
    • Establish and supervise all internal and external communication platforms
    • Aid the data and analytics department in data collection
    • Track progress within the Annual Business Plan
    • Work with ED to create an Annual Business Plan
    • Ensure all clubs/departments are set up for events/programs


    Event Planning

    • Establish guidelines for any internal and external events held at RCM
    • Oversee internal and external events hosted at RCM alongside the Executive Director
    • Oversee programs as directed by the ED


    Finance

    • Work with ED to create and execute annual development plan
    • Work with the ED and Finance Department to create an annual budget proposal
    • Reconcile Quickbooks to maintain appropriate classification of funds
    • Work with Finance Department to ensure all finance policies are being implemented
    • Track all funds spent in the fiscal year by established classes
    • Oversee the administration of funds based upon existing finance policies
    • Advocate for the approval of the budget proposal


    Required skills and qualifications

    • Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee and volunteer management
    • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines
    • Ability to streamline or implement structures and roles that boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands
    • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success
    • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in non-profit management, business administration or related field
    • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity



    Preferred skills and qualifications

    • Previous work experience in non-profits or a community environment
    • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software (ex: SAP, ERP, CRM)
    • Strong working knowledge of CRMs and donor management systems
    • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes
    • Previous experience with Quickbooks
    • Experience in developing budgets and business plans
