Description
We are looking to expand our operations and are actively seeking an exceptional and experienced Director of Network Infrastructure with expertise in Cisco and Aruba technologies. This leadership role will be responsible for building and leading our networking team, overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of our networking infrastructure from the ground up. As the Director of Network Infrastructure, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to our networking team. Your role will encompass designing and architecting the networking infrastructure, overseeing its implementation and configuration, and ensuring that it aligns with our organization's objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop technical solutions, and ensure the successful deployment of robust and secure networking systems. This is a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive networking infrastructure strategy, considering scalability, performance, security, and redundancy.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in networking technologies and propose relevant improvements.
  • Evaluate and select networking equipment and service providers.
  • Conduct regular network performance monitoring and optimize network performance for maximum efficiency.
  • Plan and oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of Cisco and Aruba networking equipment and technologies.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand networking requirements and translate them into technical specifications and project plans.
  • Lead and mentor the networking team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing and motivated group of professionals.
  • Implement and manage network security measures to safeguard sensitive data and systems.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to the network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues and provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Perform network capacity planning to meet current and future business needs.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, security protocols, and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science REQUIRED.
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing the design and implementation of networking infrastructure - 6+ years.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
  • Cisco and/or Aruba certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ACCP, or ACDX (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of LAN, WAN, and WLAN architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, wireless controllers, and Aruba access points.
