Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in the development and implementation of business strategies for the hotel which are aligned with Radisson overall mission, vision values and strategies
  • Participates in the development of the annual marketing, sales, and strategies
  • Develops and implements strategies for achieving food and beverage goals and supports achievement of the hotel’s goals
  • Monitors status regularly and adjusts strategies as appropriate
  • Develops the annual budget in conjunction with the Executive Committee
  • Continually improves hotel food and beverage and adheres to brand standards
  • Maximizes profitability and revenue by directing the hotel food and beverage operations
  • Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
  • Reviews guest complaints and responds as appropriate
  • Responds to food safety inspections and reports
  • Develops and implements the menu offerings and pricing based on competition, market trends, costs, etc.
  • Audits and maintains food safety, ensuring all food and beverage staff have necessary safety certifications
  • Leverages system-wide expertise and resources where possible in order to incorporate best practices and deliver services on a cost effective basis
  • Oversees monthly food and beverage inventories for supplies and maintains optimum stock levels to meet customer demand, detect waste and avoid excess expense for optimal profit without adversely affecting hotel performance.
  • Ensures outlets meet or exceed brand standards
  • Controls costs by adhering to standards of operations for forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, payroll control and other expense management systems
  • Works with food vendors and purchasing to maintain high food quality
  • Attends vendor fairs and participates in food tastings
  • Establishes relationships with food vendors and negotiates pricing where possible
  • Assists Accounting with any vendor disputes regarding invoices and payment
  • Reports food and beverage revenue, costs, Medallia scores, and prepares other reports regularly for management
  • Promotes Food and Beverage outlets through advertising and public relations campaigns through local sources
  • Communicates effectively with guests, management, employees, and corporate office
  • Works closely with Restaurant and Kitchen Managers to maximize revenue while meeting or exceeding guest expectations
  • Develops and implements strategies and practices which support employee engagement
  • Develops and recruits the human resources necessary to achieve hotel and Management Services’ goals
  • Drives employee engagement through the creation and implementation of departmental action plans
  • Provides employees with coaching and counseling as needed to achieve performance objectives and reach their fullest potential
  • Oversees all facets of human resources management including the recruitment and selection, training & development, compensation, recognition and performance management of the work force
  • Communicates performance expectations and provides employees with on-going feedback
  • Takes active role in recruitment and selection of qualified candidates
  • Directs the development and implementation of strategies and practices which support employee engagement throughout the hotel
  • Creates 100% guest satisfaction by providing the Radisson experience through performance that demonstrates the standards of genuine hospitality and exceeding guest expectations. Provides employees with the training and resources they need to maximize employee engagement and deliver Yes I Can! service and teamwork
  • Ensures that the hotel delivers 100% Guest Satisfaction by developing customer feedback avenues (soliciting input, reports, etc.) and focusing management team on identifying trends and developing and implementing solutions
  • Communicates and reinforces the vision for customer service to all managers, supervisors and employees
  • Creates an environment that encourages employees to provide the service brand behavior hospitality and teamwork
  • Creates an environment that provides employees with the tools, training and environment they need to deliver the service brand behavior and teamwork
  • Ensures that all minimum requirements of the 100% Guest Satisfaction Guarantee are in place and understood by all employees
  • Performs other duties as required by Management to provide 100% Guest Satisfaction and genuine hospitality to our Guest

Requirements/Skills

  • Able to resolve conflicts guests, supervisor and employee
  • Able to collaborate effectively with other hotel employees and managers to ensure teamwork
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws and regulations
  • Minimum of five years food and beverage management experience
  • Strong floor presence with focus and energy
  • Culinary program diploma required, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience managing to brand standards
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Food and beverage experience in both the front and back of the house
