Director Of Facilites Jobs

LaSalle Network has partnered with a local school district seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Facilities to oversee the maintenance, safety and functionality of the school district's physical infrastructure. The Director of Facilities will be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean and well-maintained environment, with a focus on sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management, excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Director of Facilities Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the facilities department budget
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations
• Develop and execute a maintenance plan for physical school facilities including preventative maintenance
• Plan, oversee and preform as needed all repairs and maintenance with a focus on sustainability practices
• Provide guidance, training and evaluations
• Implement security procedures and collaborate with local authorities
• Identify cost-effective strategies to maintain facilities while maximizing resources
• Manage and schedule maintenance and custodial staff of 100+
• Source and oversee contracts with external vendors and service providers

Director of Facilities Requirements:

• Ability to travel between multiple sites is required
• Proven facility management experience including, strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general construction practices
• Effective communication and organization
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Budget management skills
• Familiarity with union contracts and employees strongly preferred
• Familiarity with safety standards
• Experience with multiple sites strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of building systems and construction
