We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Director of eCommerce to oversee and enhance the performance and user experience of Truewerk’s direct-to-consumer ecommerce platform. As the Director of eCommerce, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue, acquiring new customers, retaining existing customers, and maximizing customer lifetime value.


Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000 per year base salary


What you’ll do


eCommerce Strategy and Planning

  • Develop robust SEO strategy and roadmap
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive ecommerce strategy, execution and operation with a focus on driving growth, customer acquisition, and increasing revenue


Customer Journey, Website & User Experience

  • Oversee the management and optimization of the Shopify Plus platform, ensuring it operates efficiently, securely, and in line with industry standards
  • Partner with performance marketing and traffic generation team to optimize landing pages and shopping pathways
  • Apply strategic thinking about the desired customer journey and UX experience to be delivered on-site
  • Lead and manage SEO through an agency partner
  • Lead and oversee effective a/b testing and conversion rate improvements
  • Manage website, both technical design and development, and day-to-day site operations including visual merchandising


Marketing, Merchandising & Sales Optimization

  • Lead development of digital merchandising strategies including product taxonomy, site architecture, product groupings, etc.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective go-to-market plans, online marketing campaigns and promotions that drive traffic, increase engagement, and boost sales and profitability
  • Apply strategic thinking about product placements, product carousels, product content, imagery
  • Collaborate with ops team on forecasting and assortment management
  • Implement strategies for upselling, cross-selling, and customer retention to increase customer lifetime value
  • Optimize the sales funnel, product pages, and checkout process to maximize conversion rates and minimize cart abandonment


eCommerce Analytics and Reporting

  • Demonstrate thorough command of our TW.com metrics, their drivers and their impacts; build & maintain daily, weekly, monthly reporting that is efficient to generate, highlights insights, and forecasts trends for optimization
  • Utilize data and analytics to make data-driven decisions on website improvements, marketing strategies, and user behavior
  • Continuously analyze site performance and customer behavior data to identify opportunities for improvement, implementing data-driven optimizations and enhancements
  • Monitor and analyze performance of site traffic, customers behavior with a focus to increases orders, AOV and overall sales


Leadership

  • Lead and manage 1-2 agencies and freelancers
  • Future potential to build and lead internal eCommerce team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement



What you’ll bring


Experience and Education

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful eCommerce strategies (7+ years of experience preferred)
  • Proven track record of leading high-performing eCommerce teams and driving significant revenue growth for large-scale Shopify Plus stores
  • Proven experience as a Director of eCommerce or a similar senior eCommerce management role, with a focus on Shopify Plus


Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis and eCommerce analytics tools, including AB testing and personalization tools
  • Experience in an agile tech environment a plus
  • Strong understanding of digital ecosystem platforms and tools
  • In-depth knowledge of eCommerce best practices, trends, and technologies
  • Proficiency in web development, UX/UI design principles, and site optimization

Location and Travel

  • Candidates outside the Denver area may be required to travel to Denver periodically.
  • Denver area preferred
  • Relocation assistance is not provided by Truewerk
  • Candidates in the Denver area work a hybrid schedule with some days spent in our office.
  • All team members should have interest and ability to occasionally visit customers, partners, and industry events.
