Job Description

The Sustainable Partnership is proud to be partnered with a leading Solar + BESS project developer and IPP who are seeking of Director of Development to join their team.

The business is seeking an experienced utility-scale renewable energy development professional with experience in ERCOT or MISO regions.

The successful candidate for this position will bring experience in project development from greenfield to NTP, as well as strong understanding of market policy and the regulatory environment in their respective market(s).

Salary & Incentives:

  • Stock/equity participation
  • $180-240k base salary
  • Annual bonus and other benefits

Locations:

  • Denver, Colorado (hybrid)
  • Los Angeles, California (hybrid)
  • Texas (remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop market strategy and manage and support team members in negotiations, risk analysis and project development of the pipeline.
  • Build portfolio by sourcing greenfield projects and managing the due diligence process.
  • Participate in M&A processes for project acquisitions by supporting project due diligence.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams across Land, Interconnection, Engineering, Tax, Origination, PPAs and Structured Finance.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable track record in ERCOT and/or MISO.
  • 8+ years’ of development or related experience.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and policy dynamics that influence market access.
