About Rocky Mountain Prep


Rocky Mountain Prep is a growing network of innovative public charter schools, serving students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in the Greater Denver Area. Rocky Mountain Prep opened its first school in 2012 with 130 students and has grown to four schools, working with over 1,800 scholars across two districts. Grounded in our culture of rigor and love, our schools consistently outperform local districts academically, while also ensuring our scholars are developing in our PEAK values of perseverance, excellence, adventure, and kindness. In the school year 2023-2024, we will grow to 12 schools serving over 5,000 students

Role Mission


As Director of Culture, you will lead people and partner with leaders across the organization, contributing to our culture, SEL, and mental health strategy and investing others in a vision that aligns with broader organizational academic and whole child priorities and goals for students.


In this role, you will:


  • Provide on-site and integrated support to school leaders in our schools to ensure culture initiatives and curriculum are implemented at a high level. This will include developing and leading staff training, working with school leaders on data collection and analysis, and providing direct coaching and coaching materials as needed
  • Deliver a train-the-trainer model of Professional Development and ongoing coaching to district and campus administrators of culture and socio-emotional learning initiatives
  • Design and codify a set of resources and training materials to strengthen our student culture. This work will focus on building out our existing culture playbooks and creating a set of teacher and leader-facing resources aimed at helping teachers and leaders develop safe, productive, and affirming classrooms
  • Analyze culture data (referral, suspension, social-emotional learning) and provide necessary support and/or PD including a focus on equity through the disaggregation of data by sub-group
  • Provide central expertise and consulting on APS and DPS discipline policies to support school leaders with discipline
  • Implement a Pre-K through 12th-grade culture strategy for the network that includes a focus on tier I culture systems, SEL programming, and mental health integration that results in strong academic outcomes for students
  • Manage the design and implementation of high-quality systems and complex projects across the organization with a clear focus on tier 1 culture for teachers
  • Facilitate professional development strategy and lead professional development for leaders and teachers across the organization aligned with our cultural priorities.
Qualifications:


  • Proven record of results coaching other leaders and teachers, preferably at the district/system level
  • Previous experience developing and facilitating professional development
  • Required
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States
  • Preferred
  • Pass a background check
  • Deep knowledge of content and instruction, with at least five years of Pre-K-12 teaching experience, preferably in high-need schools or with high-need populations, and a proven track record of raising student achievement
  • Proven record of results aligned with classroom and school culture
  • Bachelor's degree
Salary


  • This is a full-time benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $75,000 to $100,000
