Director Of Continuous Improvement And Operational Excellence

SMV Recruiting is actively looking for an experienced Director of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence to work for a concrete and ready-mix company headquarter in Alpharetta, GA. Ideally, we are looking for someone with a 15+ years of experience, bachelor’s in industrial engineering, a deep background in leading teams, Lean, 5S, value stream mapping, data analytics, project management and CAPEX projects.This role will require this person to travel to sites 50-70% of the time and act as the right hand to the COO.

Responsibilities:

• Use Lean, A3 and 5S methodologies to identify issues and root cause analysis
• Manage various projects including a comms ID system and a computerized maintenance system
• Train sites on lean methodologies and practices
• Execute Kaizen events and JDI’s
• Value stream mapping, transactional process mapping for both onsite and administrative processes
• Lead CAPEX projects
• Deploy new standard operations procedures (SOP’s)
• Work with plants to get them organized, efficient and well oiled
• Develop and deploy a world class operating system

Requirements:

• Must be eager to grow, take initiative and think outside the box
• Background in data analytics
• Must have Lean, 5S, Kaizen and value stream mapping experience
• 10+ years of experience in concrete, mining, construction or other related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or mechanical engineering, math, statistics or data science
