Position Summary:
The Director of Capital Markets will play a key role within the Capital Market team to help execute GoodLeap's strategy for funding and managing our solar and home improvement loans. The ideal candidate will understand how a balance sheet-light fintech lending business works and have a thorough knowledge of various funding strategies. Additionally, an ideal candidate will have strong work ethic, technical/interpersonal skills, and the desire to work with both internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategy to build and maintain relationships with capital providers
- Negotiate terms and conditions of funding agreements
- Identify and communicate market trends and changes that could impact GoodLeap's access to capital
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
- Deliver new and innovating funding structures to the market
- Identify and prioritize key institutions that can provide capital to GoodLeap
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and drive new capital markets partners to the platform
- At least 7 years of experience in capital markets, financial services, or a related field
- Excel/Cash flow modeling, intex, PowerPoint
- Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with financial institutions
- Broad understanding of capital markets, including fixed income markets, consumer lending, and securitizations.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to navigate financial institution risk/accounting framework and create robust funding partnerships.
- Problem solver with the ability to bring new and innovative funding structures to the market
Location: Remote, United States
Compensation: $200,000 – 350,000/annually DOE
