Job Summary


The Director of Admissions is responsible for the leadership and strategic development of Admissions efforts across the college, ensuring compliance with NACAC code of ethics and strategic recruitment & outreach enrollment initiatives. The Director also oversees the Littleton Welcome Center staff and functions, along with virtual welcome center functions and technology and, the main information phone queue for the college.  In collaboration with the Dean of Enrollment Management, the Director of Admissions, Outreach & Recruitment coordinates with academic program directors and other personnel across ACC to ensure a seamless student experience in the recruitment and application process. The Director is responsible for identifying opportunities to create strategic partnerships that increase access to education for populations that have traditionally been excluded from higher education or workforce opportunities.  The Director is responsible for the management of the college’s Customer Relations Management (CRM) software.  The Director is also expected to identify, secure, and manage admission partnership agreements and grants in alignment with the college’s mission, vision, and values. Characteristics of a successful candidate are:

Required Qualifications


  • Commitment to creating an inclusive learning & work environment and demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, families, faculty, and staff of diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in a higher education setting, preferably in Student Affairs.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation with a student-centered mindset.
  • Experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) software.
  • Experience with project management, event management and public speaking.
  • Master’s degree and three years relevant experience OR bachelor’s degree with five years of relevant experience.
  • Experience hiring, training, supervising, managing, and motivating diverse employees.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Knowledge of SCT/Banner Student Records System.
  • Experience working in a community college setting, preferably in Student Affairs.
  • Master’s degree in higher education, student development, equity, management, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience with Strategic Enrollment Management Plan development and execution.
  • Experience making data driven decisions and adjusting practices and procedures to increase enrollment and close equity gaps.
  • Specific knowledge and experience with Ellucian Recruit CRM.


Physical & Cognitive Demands


The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.


  • Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.
  • The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
  • Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Advertised Salary Range


Salary range for this position is $84,196 - $94,300, commensurate with education and experience. AP 3-45 provides information regarding salary placement and adjustments. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
