Director, Milk Bank (Full-Time)

4502 Medical Dr. Management Day Shift POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES The Milk Bank Executive Director provides oversight to all aspects of the Milk Bank, including Milk Bank staff. Responsibilities include maintaining the operational systems, product safety, financial outcomes, strategic development and administrative management of the non-profit UH Milk Bank. This individual leads, develops, supervises, and evaluates all aspects in compliance with standards and regulations from the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA) guidelines and other local/state/federal regulatory bodies. The Director develops and implements policies, procedures, and programs with quantitative outcomes that guide and support efficient practices of the UH Milk Bank while also providing support for the "UH Mother's Place". Builds internal and external partnerships to advance the Milk Bank program and support the Bexar County and South Texas communities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• 3 or more years of management/coordination experience. Experience in medical setting, food service, and/or human nutrition is preferred.
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree in nutrition, hospital administration, or related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
• Must maintain licensing in the state of Texas and/or certification by the appropriate agency in related field required.
• Five years or more of experience in a field related to neonatal nutrition is preferred. Experience in a milk bank operation is strongly preferred. LICENSURE/REGISTRATION
• Complete PCQI training or other food safety certification approved by the Food Safety Preventive Controls Alliance (FSPCA) within 1 year of hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
