The champion and primary change agent tasked with guiding the company’s lean transformation strategy throughout the enterprise. This role will be focused on cultivating our ways of working and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. They will deploy the lean methodology cross functionally across departments and leadership teams.
What you will be responsible for:
  • Collaborate with company leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to select Lean initiatives that align with the company’s vision and deliver impactful results.
  • Leverage applicable change management strategies to drive successful adoption of lean behaviors, including, proactive problem solving, knowledge sharing, and accountability.
  • Coordinates with outside consultants for opportunities for team members to Go see, benchmark, and learn from companies with strong lean cultures.
  • Collaborate with company leadership and outside consultants in developing and deploying an overall annual lean charter, as well as overall strategy deployment and visual leadership systems, then cascaded to different levels of the organization.
  • Partner with outside consultants to prioritize, select, drive, and sustain gains from lean improvement initiatives/events.
  • Adopt and spread lean management system (leadership standard work, Gemba walks, daily accountability, and discipline.) throughout the enterprise.
  • Collaborate with outside consultants to develop training material and conduct internal lean certification training (practitioners, facilitators, and change agents) throughout the enterprise.
  • Create a cadence of rapid improvement events; serve as the champion, sponsor, facilitator, and team member on cross-functional lean improvement initiatives/events throughout each year.
  • Lead the lean steering committee, present regular status updates on lean journey and improvement initiatives to senior leaders.
  • Drive cultural transformation by engaging people in continuous improvement initiatives, showing respect for people, and promoting innovation throughout the enterprise.
  • Assist departments with implementing lean playbook and setting improvement goals aligned with the company’s overall lean transformation vision.
  • Partner with company leadership and outside consultants to develop and maintain a lean steering committee to ensure direction, alignment, and sustainability of lean transformation/operating system.
  • Train and coach employees at all levels on lean principles, behaviors, and playbook (strategy deployment, value stream mapping, standard work, 5S workplace organization, visual management, A3 problem solving, mistake proofing, bright ideas employee suggestion system, pull methods, etc.)
  • Partner with outside consultants and company leadership to develop and accelerate a Lean transformation strategy and corresponding operating system aligned with the company's culture and vision.
  • Work with the finance department to evaluate lean improvement projects savings estimates.
  • Serve as primary change agent and lead Lean transformation throughout enterprise.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in operations with considerable lean transformation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
