We are actively seeking a Director, Global Public Relations . This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the US.


Position Summary


As the Director, Global Public Relations, you will be responsible for the development and execution of Rimini Street’s PR strategy. Working closely with our Executive and Marketing leadership, you will be independently responsible for leading cross functional teams in executing integrated communications, and go-to-marketing initiatives, and advising the business on media strategy.


This role reports directly to the VP of Global Communications and is a tremendous opportunity to make a huge, direct impact on the success of Rimini Street’s aggressive growth objectives. 


The Global Communications team is responsible for all our media relations, executive communications, corporate and solution communications, and acts as the integration point between our broader communications functions and the wider business to ensure our efforts and impact are fully synchronized and our messages are broadly distributed and impactful.


The successful candidate should be adaptable, able to shift gears and prioritize quickly and comfortable in a high-pressure environment. This senior member of the marketing and executive teams will be a strong leader with experience across the diverse set of capabilities required to ensure team more than achieves its goals.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Drafting, management of editing, review and approvals processes for announcements is required as well as handling spokespeople for media engagements
  • Lead all Global Public Relations efforts, including overseeing the selection of PR agencies globally and collaborate with regional marketing teams to manage these critical relationships
  • Collaborate with various functions within Rimini Street to develop consistent external messaging
  • Initiate and develop stories and narratives for a range of mediums, including but not limited to online, social media, print, broadcast, podcast.
  • Proactively generate media coverage aligning with key messaging and business priorities – national, international, trade and regional.
  • Act as a corporate spokesperson and ensure messaging is consistent and on-brand
  • Management of third-party PR agencies, consultants, and vendors whom you will be working hand in hand with in delivering on the PR strategy
  • Champion and implement the ongoing development and adoption of global standards of communications that will be adhered to across all functions and levels of our business and by all regions, while also enabling strategic localization and customization
  • Partner with C-Level Executives to develop thought leadership and communications strategies aligned with key business priorities and objectives, ensuring tone, voice and method are well thought out and executed at the appropriate level


Qualifications/Skills/Experience


Experience


  • Great project management and multi-tasking skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment
  • Enterprise applications expertise highly preferred
  • 8+ years of progressively senior marcomms experience in global B2B required.
  • Experience in working with senior executive leadership across global organizations
  • Demonstrated results in leading cross-functional teams to execute projects and corporate initiatives and meet broad business goals
  • Experience in leadership positions in publicly traded companies with 5+ years of people management experience


Skills


  • Expertise in defining and crafting business positioning, and managing company messaging through considerable growth and expansion
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and can be equally effective in both formal and informal settings with customers, senior executives, peers, and business partners
  • Experience partnering and managing efforts with global and regional agencies and strategic partners
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful communications including crisis communications, change management, using sound judgement and offering counsel to executives
  • Highly organized and motivated leader with senior management experience
  • Expert-level communication measurement and reporting, with a clear understanding of how it maps to bigger marketing and whole-of-business outcomes
  • An excellent storyteller who can successfully create and execute press releases, case studies and client stories
  • Experienced in handling transformational shifts within an organization and the ability to manage the differences in opinions and cultures
  • Strong ability to understand and articulate Rimini’ Street’s positioning within the tech sector
  • Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
  • Proactive and outgoing with a get-it-done attitude.
  • Experience in developing and nurturing relationships with media and global stakeholders


Education


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

The general salary range for this type of role is 135k - 168k depending on skills and experience.
