Saks OFF 5th (SO5) is seeking a candidate to lead the Digital Operations function at SO5. This person is a critical onsite presence at our Photo Studio in Pottsville, PA, and is a critical partner to many cross-functional groups in getting items live on the website to provide the best shopping experience for our customers. This person is an excellent communicator and can quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues. This person is passionate about processes and can lead and inspire a team to continuously improve.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain reporting including but not limited to throughput volumes, capacities, backlogs, and timelines for project completion.
- Direct scheduled and unscheduled events determined by sales, business initiatives, and buying opportunities. Ensure teams are working toward these targets and communicating to partners on the progress s of these events, especially in the event of missed deadlines.
- Direct and guide resources across all teams, anticipating backlogs, sharing catch-up plans, and determining ETA of resolution: Use shared item count projections to accurately staff teams with FTEs and freelance/temp associates if necessary.
- Partnership with cross-functional leaders on process improvements both in the physical photo studio and for the overall process.
- Support team leaders through daily operations, ensuring alignment to targets, goals, and resolution of any issues preventing daily workflow.
- Guide, mentor, and develop the team. Provide coaching and feedback to help them achieve their career goals.
- Build relationships with Omni merch, merchants, drop-ship, full drop ship, supply chain, customer service, and other business stakeholders to understand current and future trends, anticipate key initiatives and go live, and dates of new products.
- Be a point of contact for business-critical escalations, partnering with teams that can correct issues, and using excellent communication skills to share updates and next steps.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly updates to leadership on the health of the teams and the operation, sharing issues and solutions.
Education and Professional Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to articulate their position and buy-in
- Knowledge of Photo Studio operations
- Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to overcome obstacles and deliver results.
- Solid organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster productive relationships at every level.
- Experience working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Creative problem-solving ability and multi-tasking competing priorities.
- Demonstrated success in change leadership.
- Strong experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- 10 years of experience leading teams and operations management
