The Opportunity
Ally Credit Card is looking for an experienced leader to join the credit card team to develop implementation plans for Card Operations related to strategic initiatives while helping to build best-in-class operations platform to support accelerated Ally Card growth. We are looking for a candidate with a deep understanding of credit card operations and experience in scaling credit card operations. The potential candidate should have the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally with other critical teams to ensure operational excellence and efficiency. Our ideal candidate has cross functional expertise in card operations, managing projects/timelines, understanding of card related platforms/technology, is always willing to challenge established assumptions, and can develop a strategic vision for the future that helps support the broader Card team goals.
The Work Itself
- Develop and manage project plans aligned to card operations and supporting technology platforms
- Understand current and historic performance of key metrics to create and measure impactful KPIs
- Identify frequent or high-priority issues and partner with Product, Marketing, Credit Risk, and Fraud groups to develop automated and innovative solutions. Monitor performance against plans and prepare analyses for senior leadership
- Strong working knowledge of Ally Card strategic plan and direct impacts on card operations and technology
- Develop and implement a strategy to help scale credit card operations within our existing operating model with a focus on providing excellent customer support and expanding digital servicing in a highly efficient manner
- Conduct ongoing analyses of all processes and vendors to identify and implement measures that increase operational efficiency
The Skills You Bring
- Intermediate to advanced skills running cost benefit analyses and modeling for owned operational expenses
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: customer support, credit card operations, and card fulfillment
- Familiarity with card related technology and platforms
- Experience working with (and ability to influence) matrix partners that impact change capability, such as IT, Compliance, Legal, Vendor Management and Operations.
- Strong leader and communicator who enables their team and peers to achieve success
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with ability to research information and synthesize a fact-based story/options
- Proven record of managing complex, multi-generational projects
- Experience managing a multi-channel customer support program at scale
- Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; should be a critical thinker with strong attention to details.
- Bachelor degree preferred
- Strong presentation skills, including ability to articulate complex problems in concise, simple message
