As a global leader on the corporate team with a perspective across the Security Solutions Portfolio (Threat Protection, Data Security, Identity, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Cloud Security/ Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), Security Co-pilot, you’ll be a critical and visible leader internally and externally and will have the opportunity to influence and work with many of the most senior leaders across the security business.
We’re looking for an exceptional Director Business Strategy - Security Copilot Go To Market (GTM) and cross-team collaborator to partner with stakeholders to drive growth globally in Security sales and consumption. Primarily centered on the objective of meeting and exceeding our revenue and scorecard targets for Security business, this role entails developing priority enterprise and scale motions with executable go-to-market initiatives coupled with field role design, coverage, capacity, compensation, and sales offers including the end-to-end Go-To-Market frameworks, fueling, and driving growth for our security business.

As the Worldwide Security Business Architect, you’ll partner closely with stakeholders including senior leaders in the Sales, Product Group, Business Group (BG), Global Partner Solutions (GPS), Customer Success, Marketing as well as Small, Medium, & Corporate (SMC) business units to shape & execute global Security Solution sales motions.

Responsibilities

Primary accountabilities include:
  • Strategy Development & Evolution: Leverage Microsoft security platform and competitive industry knowledge to partner with Engineering, Product Marketing, Services and Partner teams to create a multi-year strategic roadmap of field sales strategy and high value sales motions and customer offerings.
  • Lead Change Management Efforts: Develop strategies and landing models to effectively scale existing and introduce new sales model concepts across Microsoft Strategic and Enterprise customer segments and Partner/Channel communities
  • Control and Monitor Results: Analyze sales outcome and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement to drive sustainable revenue and consumption growth
  • Closed Feedback Loop: Facilitation and delivery of closed feedback loop with key executive sponsors and cross-organizational partners including Engineering, Product Marketing, Worldwide Specialist Team Unit (WW STU)/Customer Success, Inside Sales, Global Partner Solutions (GPS), Services
  • Field Connection & Immersion: Establish field relationships and ongoing engagement to formalize connection channels, listening systems, escalation management, and field council.
  • Best Practice Sharing: Partner with internal stakeholders and business sponsors to maximize sales synergy via knowledge transfer and best practices sharing.
  • Embody our Culture and Values
  • Field Landing & Readiness: Partner with Readiness leads to ensure successful rollout across the world to help land sales initiatives, GTMs, and readiness plans. Includes as appropriate engagement in virtual training, Executive meetings, field readiness events, etc.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years’ experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
o OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (2 years out), Management Consulting, Sales, or Finance.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 7+ years marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
o OR Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 5+ years marketing, strategy, sales, sales leadership, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience
o OR equivalent experience.

  • At least 10+ years of management consulting experience (or equivalent) and 5+ years of sales or strategy experience within the cybersecurity industry driving consistent Year over Year (YoY) business growth.
  • Dependable understanding of the customer segments, industry verticals, and their corresponding sales engines with demonstrated success in driving revenue growth in new business models
  • Preferable 2+ years of experience with cloud providers such as Google, AWS.
  • Dependable understanding of security industry, market shaping trends such as AI in cybersecurity and compete landscape across one or more of the following categories – Identity, Data Security, Threat protection, Security Operations Center (SOC) modernization, Cloud Security, Artificial Inteligence (AI), etc.
  • Proven track record of working at senior levels across organization, Partners and/or Customers.

Sales Strategy Enablement IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $242,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $264,000 per year.
