The Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) Group is the largest network of harmonized bio/pharmaceutical GMP product testing laboratories worldwide. The service portfolio supports all stages of the drug development process and all functional areas of bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing, including method development, microbiology, process validation and quality control.


Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing (BPT) is searching for a Director of Sales to lead our Western US team of Regional Sales Managers.



Director of Sales responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Provide input on sales objectives, opportunities, and competition to executive level leadership.
  • Provide annual forecasting and review for the Western US region as well as each individual sales territory.
  • Partner with Operational leadership to drive and design tactics, strategy, and decision-making for new and existing services.
  • Direct activities of assigned team to ensure optimum performance of the group/function.
  • Oversee and assist with training programs designed to teach the business development team how to sell and represent the Eurofins BPT service portfolio. Implement follow up and needs assessment for sales training.
  • Maintain contact with strategic customers and participate directly in sales for strategic accounts.
  • Work in conjunction with Operations, Project Management, and other functional colleagues to deliver a seamless, effective, end-to-end customer experience.
  • Develop and implement short and long-term sales strategies and objectives to achieve the Company’s revenue goals.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of annual sales plans and supporting sales programs.
  • Drive recruiting initiatives to meet departmental needs. Continually identify future talent.
  • Assist in the development of short and long-term sales organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans.
  • Manage the opportunity/sales pipeline to meet departmental and company revenue goals
  • Assist in the development and recommend departmental budget and authorize expenditures.
  • Formulate and implement policies and objectives to ensure the efficient and effective operation of team activities.
  • Responsible for personnel management activities such as: personnel actions (hiring, promotions, transfers, etc.), training and development, providing regular direction and feedback on performance, disciplinary actions and preparing and delivering annual performance and compensation reviews.
  • Manage compliance with, and continual improvement of, company sales and marketing processes and systems
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of customer needs, buying behavior, purchasing and decision-making and recommend creative solutions, methods, and processes to meet customer expectations.


Qualifications


Basic Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in sciences or M.B.A. in marketing/business or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence executive levels within an organization.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
  • Demonstrated expertise in cGMP laboratory operations and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication (oral and written), attention to detail, and ability to relate well to people in direct communication, as well as formal presentation.
  • Knowledge of the bio/pharmaceutical industry, drug development, FDA regulations, and all aspects of CMC testing. Experience selling for a service company in the bio/pharmaceutical sector – CDMO, CRO, or CTO.
  • Positive attitude, team player and corporate representative.
  • At least ten years related experience and exceptional track record in direct sales.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.


Additional Information


The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.
