What’s the role?


We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist ] focusing on feed-based Paid Social and Display channels to join our performance marketing team in Brooklyn.


As the Digital Marketing Specialist] you will manage our major paid social and display channels (Facebook, Pinterest, GDA, etc.) where large-scale, dynamic product feed experience is essential. You’ll also lead and optimize performance campaigns with specific direct response goals (return on investment, LTV), translating paid media strategy into concrete plans with agencies and internal partners, as well as implement those plans to reach Etsy buyers around the world.


This is a full-time position reporting to the Performance Marketing Manager, Paid Social and the base salary range will be 80,000 - 104,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in USA who are either remote, flex, or office-based. Etsy offers different work modes to meet the variety of needs and preferences of our team. What does the day-to-day look like?


  • Continuously QA product catalog set up to ensure efficient performance, while also developing strategies to optimize attributes and custom labels to surface quality listings in ad campaigns.
  • Supports Etsy’s global growth marketing program towards ambitious performance goals around return on lifetime value and habitual buyer creation
  • Stay on top of the always-evolving digital marketing landscape, from industry news to emerging technology, with an emphasis on the mass impacting privacy landscape
  • Lead external agencies and technologies effectively; amplifying service/offerings and recognizing needs for strategic guidance/gaps in internal resources
  • Collaborate with internal, cross-functional partners to strengthen the performance marketing program, such as pixel implementation and feed development and optimization with engineering
  • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.
  • Partner with marketing team members to develop strategies across channels, such as holiday campaigns
  • Deliver reporting, insights, and forecasts that accurately and appropriately measures channel performance on a daily through annual basis


Qualifications


Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:


  • In-house experience a plus, where you have learned to be resourceful by building positive relationships across the company
  • Have strong critical thinking skills coupled with a bias towards action so as to anticipate and navigate the constantly evolving marketing landscape
  • Natural collaborator who is able to align partners and drive decision-making
  • Material experience managing and optimizing large-scale product feeds and respective catalog sales ad campaigns through automated ad solutions such as Dynamic Ads for Broad Audiences (DABA) on Meta.
  • A strong analytical drive, with previous experience with sophisticated attribution models (multi-touch, LTV, frequency) and sufficient knowledge of major data analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Neustar, Looker, etc.)
  • Expertise with data integrations (pixel/S2S), privacy compliance, International strategy, app and video experience are of additional benefit
  • A motivated member of the Etsy community and someone who believes in Etsy’s vision, mission and values.
  • Specialized skills with marketing technology platforms such as MMPs (i.e. Appsflyer, Branch), CDPs (i.e Segment, LiveRamp) and creative or feed optimization tools (i.e. Smartly.io, Feedonomics, etc.)
  • Have 2-4 years of online and direct response marketing experience with demonstrated success in leading sizeable paid social and display performance budgets to specific product catalog sales goals
