Digital Design Lead, Sr Manager
Job Type: Full-Time employee, immediate hire
Salary: $100-$135k
Location: Hybrid, 3 days a week (Mon, Wed, Thurs) in Los Angeles California
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Digital Design Lead to join our dynamic design team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Director of Design to bring our visual language to life, ensuring alignment with brand identity and tone. From collaborative brainstorming to production, you will play a pivotal role in creating captivating digital experiences across a range of channels. The successful candidate will seamlessly blend strategic thinking, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail to deliver exceptional digital designs that not only drive engagement but also align with overarching business objectives and contribute to the growth of a globally recognized brand.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:
- Partner with the Director of Design and HTML Developer to ensure consistent alignment between weekly and monthly storytelling efforts and overarching business priorities across various digital touchpoints.
- Design compelling assets for performance marketing campaigns, spanning paid social advertising, display banners, email templates, and site takeovers.
- Contribute to the conceptualization and execution of promotional and campaign strategies, leveraging your strategic mindset while adhering to brand directives.
- Assist in the establishment and maintenance of digital style guide and best practices.
- Embrace a dynamic environment, championing world-class digital design while maintaining a strong commitment to strategy, analytics, deadlines, and precision.
- Demonstrate expertise in best practices for organic and paid social content, displaying a deep understanding of social platforms.
- Independently manage and prioritize multiple projects, setting and meeting deadlines, fostering positive collaboration within the department and external partners.
- Continuously refine and enhance creative processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and results.
- Ability to build and mentor a growing digital design team
- Understand and have an interest in developing and utilizing ai and automation tools to produce creative at scale
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Design, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in design, preferably within a design firm or working on global brands.
- Seamless transition between conceptual creative work and production design.
- Experience with A/B and algorithmic testing creative and a strong interest in advancing digital presence.
- Proficiency in software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Smartly, with a willingness to learn new tools.
- Proven ability in designing HTML5 display ads, rich media, dynamic creative optimization (DCO), geo-targeted dynamic ads, responsive dynamic ads, progressive ads, and programmatic ad campaigns.
- Professional attitude towards work, openness to constructive criticism, and the ability to confidently make design decisions.
- Strong awareness of digital trends and best practices, remaining updated with industry advancements.
- Rapid ideation skills, translating raw concepts into pixel-perfect visual designs.
- Solid grasp of design principles, including typography, color theory, photography, layout design, hierarchy, and user experience (motion graphics experience is a plus).
- Impressive portfolio showcasing recent digital projects highlighting creative thinking and precise execution. Samples should include video, motion graphics, social media, landing pages, microsites, email marketing, and display advertising.
- Proven capability to manage deadlines, handle multiple tasks, and drive successful outcomes.
