Job Description
:
The Ice Flyers are currently looking for a highly motivated, professional and organized Digital Content Creator that can handle a high-paced work environment while working on the creation of engaging, quality content for digital platforms and the videoboard during all home games.

Job Summary:
  • Highly motivated professional to create and manage a range of content for in-game videoboard production and marketing campaigns on social media platforms, website, email blasts, mobile app, and local media outlets
  • Manage the social media and mobile app during both home and away games
  • Create high quality, sharable digital content to raise brand awareness
  • Contribute to enhancing and achieving the team’s marketing strategies and objectives
  • Promote all home games and events throughout the week using graphics, official video and photography content
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and high attention to detail in a goal-oriented environment

Responsibilities:
  • Find creative new ways to market the team
  • Help manage marketing interns, along with game day photographers and videographers
  • Produce in-house marketing materials
  • Fulfill marketing elements in corporate sponsorship contracts, including on-site photos and videos
  • Contribute to the overall strategies and planning of the team for theme nights, revenue generators, in-game production and entertainment, and community outreach
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by team leadership
  • Assist in the creation of game production scripts
  • Work game days, weekends, and special events as required by the team representing the Ice Flyers to meet marketing and community initiatives
  • Assist in the creation of new themes, promotions and sponsorship elements
  • Coordinate marketing days with the coaching staff and players
  • Manage the team’s social media platforms, mobile app and website
  • Ensure team branding is professionally utilized in all in-house and external marketing
  • Maintain an organized marketing campaign for each game and event
  • Coordinate with local media outlets to fulfill ad campaigns
  • Develop and grow relationships with current marketing clients and establish new ones
  • Develop marketing strategies and content to fulfill marketing objectives
  • Develop engaging video content with players, coaches, staff and fans
  • Create engaging graphics for the team’s website, social media platforms, mobile app, and marketing emails
  • Create graphics and video content to be used for game production on the video scoreboard and video walls.
Proficiencies:
  • Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, After Effects or Premiere Pro
  • Email Campaigns

Qualifications:
  • Reliable transportation is essential
  • Work experience in graphic design and marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree required with undergraduate degree in graphic design, marketing or similar concentration
  • Knowledge of sports, sports marketing and sports social media content are definite assets
  • Commitment to excellence at to perform duties at the highest level possible on a consistent basis.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be successful while having fun within a professional and team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking skills and personal accountability

Compensation:
