Development Specialist- Early Intervention

This is a part-time role, working as needed.
United Ability is an organization that provides a variety of services to individuals with disabilities. We are currently seeking candidates to join our team as a Development Specialist- PRN for our Early Intervention team. In this role you will be responsible for providing training for parents/caregivers who have children ages birth to 3 years old, in the child’s natural environment, to work on the outcomes that are created through a family assessment. Collaborating with other team members, you will:

• Completes necessary documentation and billing.
• Travels to appointments to visit parents/caregivers and children in the home, daycare or natural setting to provide training based upon the IFSP outcomes during daily routines.

Applicant general qualifications include:

• Valid State of AL driver’s license required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required.
• Experience working with children and families preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in early Childhood Special Education or Visual Impairment/Hearing Impairment OR Developmental Specialist designation by the Alabama Early Intervention System required.
