Your Impact and Contribution

We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Technician to cover 2 shifts, from 7.00am to 3.00pm, and 3.00pm to 11.00pm on alternating weeks. There might be occasional weekend work, and bank holidays support cover. This is a 5 day a week on-site support role.

  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software on trader desks and non-trading desks.
  • ServiceNow ticket logging and management.
  • Providing technical support for trading applications and software, including Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial software.
  • Documenting support issues and resolutions to maintain accurate records and to help identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues, including hardware and OS/core app software problems, connectivity issues, and security driven issues.
  • Coordinating with other IT staff members, in New York, other international centres and head office in Australia, in order to resolve complex technical issues that require escalation.

We are interested in hearing from you:

  • Experience in supporting and troubleshooting typical office applications such as MS Office Suite, Internet Browser and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with traders and other staff members from junior staff to C-suite executives.
  • Financial institution company experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years Desktop support experience in an environment where a wide range of technologies are supported.
  • Strong Windows 10 support.
  • Committed to own issues end to end and to deliver the highest quality service in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this role is from $74,600 to $101,000. The salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location
