Designer, Packaging Jobs

The Packaging Designer will play an integral role on the Bed, Bath & Beyond Owned Brand Product Development Team. In this role, the Designer will cross-functionally collaborate with Product Development, Brand, Buyers, as well as external Vendors to interpret Style Guides, Digital Assets, and Copy into Packaging die lines. Finalized and approved files are directly released to Print Vendors on aggressively paced timelines.
Responsibilities

• Finalize and Release Press-Ready Packaging files to overseas Print Vendors.
• Ensure Packaging files adhere to Brand specifications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
• Interpret Style Guides, Digital Assets, and Copy into Packaging die lines.
• Create new and update existing Style Guides.
• Partner with Department Director in maintaining Excel based Project Management Tracker.
• Validate Vendor die lines and convert into white box to prove out structure.

Required Skills And Competencies

• Ability to modify, create, and value engineer structurally sound die lines.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator CC, Photoshop CC, and InDesign CC.
• 5 years + Packaging Design experience focused heavily on Production.
• Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet or exceed deadlines.
• Project Management and Continuous Process Improvement Acumen.
• Copywriting/editing experience is a big plus.
• Strong sense of Typography.
• Knowledge of Packaging Compliance.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Extreme attention to detail, highly organized.

Salary Range: In Compliance with the New York City Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is between $90,000 - $110,000. This range is not inclusive of any Short Term Incentive or Long-Term Incentive programs. When determining a candidate’s compensation several factors are determined including skillset, experience, job scope and current market data.
