Job Description
About the role:
OLIVER is looking for an experienced Designer to join our new in-house creative, content and production agency.
As a Designer you will have strong creative skills, be comfortable taking projects from brief to completion, and provide new ideas and creativity while working closely with the client’s brand guidelines. You’ll also be comfortable pushing boundaries and thinking conceptually about new initiatives.
Reporting to the Art Director and Associate Creative Director, you will work closely as part of our team designing and producing a variety of materials. In the day to day, you’ll be executing great work creating menu & POP creative, digital banner ads, web/app design assets, email marketing, trade show materials and more with an understanding of visual development for campaigns and brands, and production of print collateral in various forms for marketing. What you will be doing:
  • Clearly present your work and able to articulate and advocate design rationale
  • Produce necessary mock-ups and design visuals
  • Responsibility for the full design lifecycle of the project
  • Work proactively under own initiative and as part of the design team
  • Producing beautiful and innovative designs for website, mobile, banners, print & in-restaurant POP to define campaigns
  • Proactively monitor artwork quality, accuracy and consistency
  • Overseeing and managing the preparation of all finished files that will comply with the correct output specifications 
  • Effectively manage workloads within agreed timelines

What you need to be great in this role:
  • 3-4+ years of work experience that demonstrates impeccable craft and command of creative concepts, visual concepts, and design across a variety of projects.
  • Be adaptable to priorities of business and produce great work in given timeframes
  • Persuasive communication and presentation skills with colleagues and clients
  • This role is performed remote but subject to west coast hours
  • Able to gather feedback judiciously but know when to follow guidelines/vision
  • Excellent Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) skills as well as Sketch. AE and PremierPro experience a bonus.
  • QSR experience preferred but not required
  • Deep knowledge & production experience with integrated and digital campaigns.
  • A strong understanding and general skills around motion graphics and video
  • Understand how to work on a range of designs within brand guidelines
  • Able to effectively understand and execute against specific brand guidelines 
  • The ability to design projects with a history of translating strategic thinking into compelling, visual ideas.
