Job Description
What To Expect
The Role
Tesla has an outstanding opportunity for Design Standards Specialist to join our dynamic Infrastructure Development team. The Design Specialist will collaborate with and support the Prototype managers in current and new prototype development. Tesla is seeking self-motivated professionals proficient in Revit to drive projects. This position may be located in either Austin, TX or Fremont, CA.
Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
  • Support review of construction documents, shop drawings etc. to ensure accurate execution of the design intent.
  • Communicate design updates and changes to internal business partners and external stakeholders.
  • Support maintenance of specification books for Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment and Signage.
  • Support production of design concept documents, presentations drawings and design details.
  • Demonstrate the agility required to quickly shift focus between tasks to accurately complete tasks on multiple design projects in various phases of completion.
Requirements
What You’ll Bring
  • Ability to drive results.
  • Mechanical, electrical and plumbing knowledge to coordinate utilities with outside consultants.
  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Architecture or equivalent experience plus evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 2-3+ years of experience in the Architectural field required.
  • Detail Oriented.
  • Design management or Architectural firm experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bluebeam, 3D Sketchup, Twin Motion or Enscape, and Microsoft suite.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively and accurately communicate verbally, in writing and through drawings/sketches.

  • Expected Compensation
    $88,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
