Design Assistant

Pink Desert is looking for a design assistant to help in the design process and assist the design lead. They will be able to take forecasted trends and translate them into Pink Desert's market for our target customer. The ideal candidate will be able to assist the design lead by taking a design through the development stage by creating tech packs, conducting fittings and sending comments until final approval.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18
  • Understand Pink Desert's target market
  • A proficiency in creating CADs, line sheets and print swatches on Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in the fashion industry is preferred and recommended
  • A basic understanding of garment construction and fit analysis
  • Be comfortable with designing in both Swim and Dresses categories
  • Updating and maintaining line sheets for each season
  • Be familiar with creating tech packs and spec sheets
  • Measuring and inspecting samples as they come in to ensure fit and quality is correct
  • Must be able to analyze trend research to create seasonal trend reports for both the
  • Design and Purchasing team
  • Have strong communication skills to work with manufacturers, patternmakers and other vendors
  • Organize all samples & fabric swatches for each season
