Deputy General Counsel (Ft) 8A-5P, Administration

SCOPE OF POSITION
The Deputy General Counsel will support/assist the system's General Counsel and provide legal services and advice for Ballad Health and its affiliates. The Deputy General Counsel will review and negotiate contracts, provide legal advice and guidance to all levels of the organization, develop policies and procedures on organizational and health law issues, and support compliance and risk management needs. The Deputy General Counsel will also oversee the work of other lawyers and staff in the department relating to specific projects and areas of responsibility assigned. Additionally, the Deputy General Counsel may be assigned to act as representative of the General Counsel at various meetings and functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law with a strong academic record. A minimum of five years, and preferably eight years, of relevant legal experience in a law firm or inhouse position, preferably in a hospital or health system or in a corporation or law firm with healthcare industry and regulatory experience.
Valid and active attorney licensure in appropriate state.
