Working within a Business Delivery & Transformation Directorate you will support the Chief Operating Officer to deliver the operational needs and continued transformation.
As the Deputy Director of Change you will be required to lead the delivery of all change (projects, operational changes and corporate changes) in partnership with our delivery partners. You will be expected to do this through programme management, project management, business analysis, change management and benefits management; to ensure optimal delivery and maximisation of time, cost and quality.

- To lead the delivery of Government Payment Services (GPS) change requests, in partnership with delivery partners, ensuring we operate effectively to support and drive the overall B2B commercial strategy.
- To play a leadership role in the Rainbow business transformation programme, including leadership of key initiatives; being a member of programme board; leading the enterprise programme office oversight; and acting as a sounding board and critical friend to the programme leadership team.
- To lead the assurance and delivery teams responsible for the change programme, ensuring that they operate effectively to support the delivery of key strategic and operational delivery targets. This includes close working with delivery partners to ensure standards are developed and implemented across the wider entity.
- To act as a member of the organisations senior management team and as a chair or member of various sub-committees or forums, contributing to debates and decision-making about the future direction of the business.

Essential Skills And Experience
- Experience of working with a Programme Portfolio Management tool and MS-Project.
- Extensive transformational change experience with proven ability of delivering key business results.
- Experience of both line and virtual team management drawing on inputs from senior managers and operational level contacts from multiple locations.
- Experience of persuading and influencing at different levels using verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to ensure senior level buy-in and delivery from business-to-business clients, stakeholders, suppliers and internal colleagues and teams.
- Project Management qualification, e.g. APM, Prince 2 or Managing Successful Programmes.
- Experience of delivery through an outsourced delivery partner.
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to review, challenge and utilise information and data whether financial, customer or strategic.
- Proven ability to manage change delivery from initiation and business case, through to implementation and successful transition to ongoing business.
- Experience of Agile, Six Sigma, Lean or other applicable business requirements methodologies.
- Experience of working in different corporate cultures gained from managing multiple large, complex customers.
- Experience of retail financial services market.
- Graduate of Government Major Project Leadership Academy
