Job Description

The Director of Procurement will lead our Direct Materials and Finished Goods product categories in our Redistributed segment, with the primary goals of increasing Spend Under Management (SUM) and improving Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). The role is designed to build effective supplier relationships and provide critical business intelligence to Highline Warren stakeholders. The position reports to Head of Procurement and will be a member of the Procurement leadership team.


Responsibilities

  • Bring a "Right to Win" attitude to the business
  • Drive to meet and exceed KPIs, demonstrating measurable results
  • Travel as required for trade shows, supplier audits, and evaluations (domestic and international), approximately 10%.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions under CLM guidelines and best practices
  • Maintain working knowledge of business trends including commodity specific issues, cost drivers, and supply chain best practices
  • Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities with TCO framework
  • Present qualitative and quantitative strategies for Procurement team success
  • Work collaboratively with other stakeholders to drive process improvement in all areas of responsibility
  • Lead supplier evaluation, selection, and qualification
  • Source product and services from new suppliers/test incumbent supplier relationships, via RFQ process


Qualifications

  • Experience in Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement preferred, not required
  • CPM, CPSM, CPIM, APICS, or ISM certification preferred, but not required
  • 5 years minimum sourcing/procurement experience in an industrial, automotive or consumer goods setting, preferably with background in Chemical and Lubricants
  • Foreign language skills/international experience preferred, not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Supply chain, Marketing, Business or Management (MBA/Master’s degree preferred)
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams; Managerial and leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation/contract management experience
  • Project management experience; leadership preferred.


Required Skills

  • ERP system experience, Qlik reporting, and ability to quickly learn other SaaS programs
  • Strong personality capable of presenting fact-based strategies to drive negotiations
  • Excellent/Concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Persuade/align others on a company “best interest” point of view
  • Ability to read product drawings and specifications
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and creative thinking
  • Advanced experience with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, & PowerPoint)
