Job Description

Equity Staffing has an exciting Admin Assistant opportunity with a well-known KC area Engineering Consulting company! This opportunity will be involved in supporting Administrative functions for multiple Dept. Managers in the company's largest division. This opportunity would be a great fit for candidates with 1-2+ years of recent Admin Support experience. New graduates from 4 year universities seeking professional experience will also be considered!


Pay:$20/hr. and health insurance options available!

Location: Office located in KC, MO (435 & Stateline area) - position is 100% onsite

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with internal support departments
  • Organize and maintain filing system
  • Type memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Prepare outgoing mailings and labels, including emails and faxes
  • Arrange equipment maintenance or set-up
  • Assist in Power Point presentations
  • Coordinate client or vendor lunches, including set-up and clean-up
  • Help coordinate clerical needs of special projects
  • Read and sort incoming mail
  • Answer phones and direct calls
  • Order and maintain supplies
  • Occasional project assistance for managers
  • Collect bills/invoices
  • Make copies of printed material
  • Utilize Access to store and retrieve data
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor to assist in the overall success of the group and company
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Reserve conference rooms
  • Complete weekly timecards
  • Keep the department calendar and roster


Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • High attention detail needed, and ability to proactively find ways to support different company personnel as needed
  • Ability to effectively communicate and work with variety of personality types and maintain a high level of professionalism
  • 1-2+ years of Admin Support experience in a professional corporate environment preferred, new grads will still be considered
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Excel, in addition to Word, Outlook, and Powerpoint
